Death Ray 6
Issue six of Death Ray should be in the shops any day now (we say
'should' – problems at the printers mean it's going to arrive late in the
shops). But when you do eventually get your hands on it, what a
treat you have in store.

Coming to a small screen near you…
The new US TV season is almost upon us, with a mixture of pilots,
commissioned first series and new seasons of old favourites having been
snapped up by British broadcasters. We've watched and rated all the big
SF shows (and there's a lot of ’em). If you want to find what's going
to be the new Heroes, you can't miss this.
Stardust
Neil Gaiman's fairy tale adventure is the latest fantasy blockbuster to
arrive at the cinemas, and we've pulled out all the stops. First off,
we speak exclusively with screenwriter Jane Goldman (and red-haired
missus of Jonathan Ross, no less). Evil witch Michelle Pfeiffer is one
of our New Gods. We go behind the scenes to look at how the special
effects were created and costumes designed. And it kicks off our Dark
Stars section and gets the review treatment.
Painted Dragons

We take a look at the artwork of foremost fantasy artist John Howe, the
man who brought Lord of the Rings to life with his spectacular
illustrations that graced the covers of the 1990s editions.
The Death Ray Interview
The father of cyperpunk, William Gibson, is in the hotseat this issue,
and tells us how science fiction and the digital world has crossed over
into the world today.

10 Minute Guide to Godzilla
We've all scoffed and the badly dubbed man-in-a-monster-suit movies,
but how much do we really know about Japan's biggest contribution to
cinema? All you need to know in a few short minutes.

Resident Evil: Extinction
Resident Evil's third cinematic outing is by far and away the best. We
speak with far-too-long-absent director Russell Mulcahy (his last big
motion picture was Highlander, with the intervening years spent on TV
projects).
New Gods
Our interviews with the biggest current stars of SF encompass everyone
from gore ’n’ guts comic genius Garth Ennis to fairy fanatic Brian
Froud.
