What is Blackfish?

 

 

Blackfish Publishing is a magazine publishing company based in Bath, UK. The company's first (and currently only – but watch this space) title is Death Ray, a science fiction and fantasy magazine.

 

The company was founded by Matt Bielby in late 2006, and the first issue of Death Ray went on sale 3 May 2007. Matt has had a prolific career, editing and launching a raft of magazines for a number of companies, but most prominently Future Publishing, where he founded many of the company's most successful magazines, including Total Film, PC Gamer and SFX.

 

The corporate motto at Blackfish is We Go Deeper. If you've read through a copy of Death Ray, you'll see what we mean...
